Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul are 'taking a break,' less than 6 months after their Vegas wedding
Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul announced they're taking a break, less than six months after the YouTubers held an elaborate wedding in Vegas.
"No need for crazy speculations," Mongeau wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday night. "This is coming from a place of nothing but love."
In his Instagram post, Paul wrote that the couple would still be "best friends" but that the break is "what's best" for them.

"The last thing we wanna see is fan pages speculating 'what happened," he said. "We truly just need a second to focus on our own lives and ourselves."
Mongeau and Paul married two months after their mutual rebound hook-up went viral, thanks to fans noticing Paul's bed frame in a Snapchat selfie Mongeau posted. Speculative YouTube audiences doubted that their union in "holy cloutrimony" was ever real to begin with, and dismissed their relationship as a drama-fueled grab for views. Mongeau, at least, said the relationship was real for her — in a 40-minute long video posted last week, she opened up about the toll the marriage was taking on her mental health. In an effort to be "cool," she said, she agreed to an open relationship.
"I am not blaming him," Mongeau vlogged, referring to her unhappiness. "I was the one who was greenlighting it because I just wanted to make him happy, and letting it kill me ... I think I just put so much of myself into Jake that I lost myself."
Neither YouTuber said they're over forever, or that they're getting a divorce — whether they're legally married at all is debatable. (There are no public records of their marriage in the Nevada registry.) But they did announce that Paul would keep Thor, the couple's golden retriever, and Mongeau would keep the Lamborghini.
