'SNL' alum Taran Killam joins 'Hamilton'
It's good to be the king. Just ask Taran Killam. The former SNL star will be making his Broadway debut on January 17th as King George in the blockbuster musical Hamilton, producers announced Wednesday, per Variety.
Known for his comedic roles on Saturday Night Live (where he was not asked back for the 2016/2017 season) and a serious turn in the Oscar-winning 12 Years a Slave, Killam's not as known --yet -- for his singing voice.
But sing he can! He co-starred with Jake Gyllenhaal in Little Shop of Horrors at New York's City Center in summer 2015.

He also has a history with Hamilton, having appeared in one of the #Ham4Ham shows earlier in 2016, singing a tune he wrote himself about the titular Treasury Secretary.
