The weirdly upsetting thing you've never noticed about Taylor Swift's arms

An Illuminati-worthy conspiracy theory.

On Friday, April 29, at approximately 1:43 p.m. I discovered the ugly truth behind Taylor Swift's appendages.

The pop-star uses her lithe arms to entrap her squad members in uncomfortable, subservient poses. Why? Ask the Illuminati.

But, just maybe, her arms are aliens who hold her friends hostage.

But seriously, almost every picture of Swift -- and I mean the "candid" images, not weird magazine shoots that require models to pose with guitars behind their heads -- show the singer wrapping her 6 ft. limbs into incredibly awkward positions.

Does Taylor just not know what to do with her arms?

Is Selena Gomez's song "Can't Keep My Hands to Myself" a shade-filled tune about her touchy BFF?

Did her cats make her do it?

The investigation began with pictures from Gigi Hadid's 21st birthday party on Thursday night.

Just put your arm down, Taylor.

Here, she is literally using a Victoria's Secret model as an armrest:

A picture from the 2015 VMAs shows, when left without a squad member to clutch, she poses like your favorite Saved by the Bell cast member at a sleepover.

Birthday parties are a breeding ground for Taylor's arms to pull friends into her bosom.

Note her hand/misshapen claw perched next to Sam Smith's unsuspecting head.

Ariana Grande's smile says "Love you too, Tay." But her eyes scream, "This is a dangerous woman!"

You're never safe.

Even when left completely alone, Taylor's hands crave for human flesh, grasping at her own fingers.

And here is the most disturbing discovery. It goes back to her CHILDHOOD.

Clearly, this is why she carries purses exclusively on her forearms.

Perhaps it's all just a result of her not having a belly button
