Surprise! Taylor Swift and Zayn team up for '50 Shades Darker' soundtrack
There doesn't need to be a reason for two members of pop royalty to collaborate, but let's face it, there's always a reason.
Ex-One Direction member Zayn Malik and Harry Styles' ex girlfriend, Taylor Swift, have collaborated for the 50 Shades Darker soundtrack.
It's called "I Don't Want to Live Forever" -- an apt song title going into our uncertain future.
Swift is in her kingdom as a star-crossed lover: "What if I just dodged a bullet or lost the love of my life?"
"I don't wanna live forever," returns Zayn in that falsetto that makes you forget everything bad he's ever done.
As Swift will have you know, it's already very popular.
The two have been spotted together recently hanging out with Swift's pal and Malik's girlfriend, Gigi Hadid. Swift has also recently inducted the movie's star, Dakota Johnson, into the squad.
But the really important thing here? Tay's cats approve of Zayn.
Swift's had a few collaborations this year, but this is the first time she's actually put her name on a song from the start since 1989. Previously this year, she had co-written and performed guest vocals for the Calvin Harris and Rihanna song "This Is What You Came For." She also wrote "Better Man" for her Nashville pals, Little Big Town. She's also been spending time in the studio with Drake, who is not her boyfriend.
