A high school class turned their teacher's birthday into a special day.

Kyle Simpler, an English teacher at Burleson High School in Texas told his student earlier this week that he couldn't remember the last time that he had a birthday cake, so in celebration of his special day on Thursday, the class gave him a cake he will never forget.

One of his students, Sae, shared a video of his cake reveal on Twitter, which has since racked up over 39,000 retweets.

"Oh my god," Simpler says as he walks into his classroom where his students have thrown him an impromptu party. One student even hands him a gift.

Overwhelmed with joy, Simpler says a simple, "Thank you," as he fights back the happy tears.
