Well, at least now we know what Batman would drive if he were a sleazy club promoter.

The infamous Gumball 3000 rally across Europe is in full swing. Of all the absolutely wild cars that are participating in the 3,000-mile star-studded race, perhaps the wildest is Team Galag's Batmobile. Not only is it a custom-made carbon-fiber "Tumbler," it's also based upon a Lamborghini Gallardo supercar chassis.

As you can see from the video, the Galag Batmobile features screens galore inside, which display images from digital cameras embedded throughout the exterior of the body. You know, so the driver can see where he or she is going.

Unlike Batman's, this Tumbler isn't powered by a jet engine. However, the engine of the Galag-mobile exhausts out of a jet-like pipe in the back.

Intriguingly, the chief engineer for the Galag Batmobile worked at the Swedish supercar-maker Koenigsegg for 15 years. I'm glad to see that although he's changed jobs, he hasn't lost the hang of making absolutely insane vehicles.
