Ted Cruz riding a roller coaster is the 2016 election in a nutshell
Elections are a lot like roller coasters: There are ups, there are downs, you're thrown for loops, sometimes you laugh, and by the end you're ready to throw up.
It's appropriate, then, that Ted Cruz's campaign posted the below video of the candidate riding the Ravine Flyer 2 roller coaster at Waldameer Park in Erie, Pennsylvania in a suit.

The footage is just what you'd expect from the 2016 campaign: a noisy, high-speed, blurry, chaotic mess.
Throughout the video, Cruz manages to accurately mimic human behavior by raising his hands in the air but, strangely, doesn't make a sound throughout the ride. No "woooo" or "wheeee" to be heard over the rushing wind.
Cruz's body man, Bruce Redden, also posted a video of the president walking up to the roller coaster.
According to the park's website, it's currently closed, meaning Cruz either pulled a Clark Griswold or was given special access to the park when no one else was allowed in, which is way less endearing.
Hopefully, Cruz is aware of Cedar Point, a renowned amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio that's a short drive from Cleveland, giving him ample opportunity to ride roller coasters and avoid the smoke of the heated GOP convention in July.
