Teen takes on transport quest in memory of brother, internet cheers him on
LONDON -- In a touching tribute to his late brother Adam, 13-year-old Alasdair "Ally" Clift undertook "The Tube Challenge" to raise money and awareness for Lymphoma research.
The Liverpool native travelled to London with the goal of attempting to visit every station in the underground network in a single day. He began his journey at 5:15 a.m. BST on Monday at Chesham station and finished in the early hours of Tuesday at Heathrow.

In an update via his JustGiving page, Ally informed his supporters, "We managed to do 268/270 stations (we missed Mill Hill East and Heathrow T4 as we were way behind schedule to do those). Blame the Circle line for us not doing 270!"

Upon recognising the teen, several commuters approached the Clift family as they completed the challenge to make cash contributions to his campaign. Ally and parents sported T-shirts bearing the hashtag #WheresAlly, which began trending on social media as family, friends, and complete strangers joined in the fun to cheer them on their way.

The teen's efforts have raised nearly £23,000 ($30,614) in support of the charity Bloodwise, massively surpassing his original goal of £100.
Adam was diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma when Ally was 10 years old, sadly passing away from the disease in March 2016 at the age of 17.
