Teen will mow all the lawns it takes to afford a nice lunch for his girlfriend

Mowing the lawn sucks, but love? Love is worth it.

A California 14-year-old wanted to take his girlfriend out for lunch -- and maybe buy her a bouquet of flowers. You know, standard date stuff. But he needed to raise a little cash first.

According to a Facebook post by Oakdale resident Ryan Cox, the kid stopped by his house last weekend to ask if he could mow the lawn.

"I'd like to take my girlfriend to lunch tomorrow and I don't have enough money," he reportedly said.

So Cox, a self-described "hustler," helped the kid get some business. 

The two went door-to-door asking neighbors if they needed any household chores done. And after sweeping some sidewalks and mowing even more lawns, the teen finally came up with enough funds to afford lunch and flowers. 

Who says teenagers are lazy?
