Is anyone missing their tooth collection?

Construction workers in Valdosta, Georgia, were surprised to discover around 1,000 teeth inside a building wall on Tuesday. That's right -- a bunch of teeth. Human teeth! Indeed, it is the Halloween season.

According to a researcher quoted in the Valdosta Daily Times, the building's first tenant was a dentist named Dr. Clarence Whittington, which explains -- kind of -- the teeth's presence. It does not explain why the teeth were in the wall, but what's life without a little dental mystery?

The Daily Times also pointed out that Wall Teeth™ have been found in two other Georgia cities as well, both times in buildings that previously had dental offices as tenants. Perhaps the big secret among dentists is that they like to put teeth in the walls and then not tell anyone for generations. Who can say?

Unfortunately, the teeth have been thrown away, despite the local historical society asserting they'd be "happy to receive the teeth."

A mistake if we've ever heard one.
