Twitter can't stop comparing Thanos to various things that are not Thanos

Very few of them are "scheming arch-nemesis."

You might know him as the latest Marvel baddie with a scheming master plan to eliminate half the world's population because #reasons. He's latest evil foe that our plucky band of Avengers have to defeat.

While Thanos is supposed to look like an intimidating, all-powerful villain, some people have pointed out that he looks like... other things. Things that are not intimidating, all-powerful villains.

Things that are the back of a sneaker, for instance.

Or this unsettling anthropomorphic raisin.

Thanos also looks eerily like other creepy pop culture icons.

Those terrifying Thumb Thumbs from Spy Kids, for instance.

Of course, there was a Shrek reference.

Others likened him to various celebrities, particularly those of the buff and bald variety.

It's not Thanos, it's JOHN CENAAAAAAAAAA!

This one's just creepy. Try to get the image of Grimace and Rick Harrison mating out of your head.

Thanos also reminded some users of the real-life villains they encounter on an every day basis.

This is very specific, but it resonates deeply and truly.

And then, there is this very eloquent and accurate observation.

Whatever Thanos reminds you of, he's not gonna let your measly mortal opinion get in the way of his grand master plan.
