Mild spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War below.

Something huge is happening in a tiny part of Reddit today. And we don't feel so good.

The popular subreddit Thanos Did Nothing Wrong, which obsesses over the destruction of half the Marvel universe in the final act of Avengers: Infinity War, is undergoing an unspeakable cull.

Channelling the 50/50 chance style of Thanos wielding the Infinity Gauntlet — something Josh Brolin got in on — the sub moderators banned over half of their 630,000 subscribers on Monday night — well, they'd risen to 700,000 before the ban started after a few last calls. It marks the largest ban in Reddit's history.

The ban kicked off with a live Twitch stream of the banned users, which, at the time of writing, has been viewed by just under 2 million people. At one point, there were over 40,000 watching at once. The stream is accompanied by what Shazam thinks is some pretty sad piano by Blonde Hemel, but it could be wrong.

Watch it all go down on Twitch.
