Warning: This post contains spoiler about The CW's The 100.

The CW's The 100 can't seem to kill off a character these days without a controversy erupting.

We all know about the fan uproar -- and subsequent apologies -- that came after the show decided to kill off beloved character Lexa. Now actor Ricky Whittle is making some noise about his own character's death with claims that his former boss Jason Rothenberg "bullied" him off the show.

In an interview with Afterbuzz TV the English actor said The 100 showrunner "abused his position to make my job untenable."

"What he did was disgusting and he should be ashamed," Whittle said in the interview, which you can watch above. "A lot was made of something my mum said over Twitter but everything she said was true. He was professionally bullying me, cutting out all the storyline I was supposed to be doing, cutting lines, cutting everything out, trying to make my character and myself as insignificant as possible, to the point where it was starting to get me down."

For his part, Rothenberg issued a statement via Warner Bros.: "Ricky Whittle is a talented actor; I appreciate his work on The 100 and wish him all the best moving forward on American Gods.”

Back in early March, Whittle's mother took to Twitter and accused Rothenberg of "disgusting behavior" in a series of Tweets.

Whittle, who will next star in Starz's American Gods, told AfterBuzz that he not only had a major storyline cut from the season but was discouraged when his character was essentially put on the bench.

"It was childish. It was immature. It was narcissistic, really ... [Rothenberg] chose to belittle me and neglect my character and myself," he said. "I was always positive, professional and always have been but enough was enough."

Ultimately, Whittle chose to leave the show. His character's death -- via execution -- was seen in the March 31 episode.

"I was in a very dark place and I was very down about it," he said. "He made me walk away from something I really loved. I loved Lincoln, I loved that show ... he forced me to make that choice and walk away and I'm proud I did it."

Whittle, meanwhile, seems to have no bad blood toward the show as a whole. In fact, he credited his cast, Warner Bros. and The CW for helping him stay on the show as long as he did. He also added a plea to the show's fans: Keep watching The 100

"It's an incredible show and that's my family," he said.

The 100 airs Thursdays on The CW.
