'Game of Thrones' fans love this photo of The Mountain cuddling a puppy
LONDON -- Just because you're a gigantic, terrifying warrior who delights in crushing the skulls of your opponents with your bare hands doesn't mean you don't have a soft side.
Just look at The Mountain, a.k.a. Icelandic actor and strongman Hafthór Júlíus Björnsson. He might be one of the most feared combatants in all of Westeros, but that doesn't mean he won't hug puppies on his days off.

Look at him, gently cradling that pooch in his massive, tree-trunk sized arms. He's even captioned the image "friends." If that doesn't prove he's a big softie, we don't know what does.
Seeing as Björnsson's a fairly lofty six-foot-eight inches tall (and his shoulders are approximately as broad as those of your average gorilla), there were some people who justly wondered about the size of the dog. It doesn't exactly look tiny in his arms, after, all.
The image was shared on reddit with the caption "All dogs are puppies in the arms of The Mountain" -- but closer inspection reveals that the dog is actually a puppy (just look at the size of its paws in relations to the rest of it).
Maybe when it's all grown up even Gregor Clegane will struggle to cradle it.
But for the time being, at least, there's still plenty of opportunity for puns.
