It's more than a game: 'Jumanji' is getting remade with The Rock
The remake epidemic in Hollywood continues, and for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, it's become familiar. Johnson will star in upcoming remakes of Baywatch and Rampage, and posted via Instagram on Friday that he will tackle a new film classic: Jumanji.
"To produce, create and deliver original properties to fans like HBO's #ballers to this summer's #CentralIntelligence is one of the best parts of my job," Johnson posted with a photo of himself holding the current Jumanji script.

Johnson will team up with producer Matt Tolmach, who worked on the Amazing Spider-Man movies, and television's Jake Kasdan, who has directed episodes of Freaks and Geeks, New Girl and The Grinder.
Even in his excitement, Johnson was well aware of the risks in touching beloved property like Jumanji, adding that he and his team "promise to deliver something cool and special.. and not screw the whole damn thing up."
