'The Simpsons' predicted this year's Nobel Prize winner for Economic Sciences

Though MIT Professor Bengt Holmström wouldn't win the Nobel Prize for another six years, back in 2010 Milhouse saw his potential.

On Monday, the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences went to Holmström and Harvard University's Oliver Hart. Shortly after the announcement, MIT shared this bit of Simpsons trivia:

Indeed, Milhouse bet on Holmström in the 2010 episode "Elementary School Musical." In the world of The Simpsons, that year's prize went to economist Jagdish Bhagwati.
