'The Simpsons' has finally addressed why Maggie is still a baby after 27 years

Just. Don't. Question. It.

There are some paradoxes in life far that are far too complex to even begin addressing.

Take Maggie Simpson for instance. She's been on our screens for 27 years, but she's still only a year old.

Well there are some things in life that we simply aren't meant to question, and this clearly falls into that category. But on Sunday night, curious viewer Brian Fink decided to throw caution to the wind.

Amazingly, Fink actually got an answer. It just probably wasn't the answer he was looking for.

The exchange seems to have divided people.

To be fair though, the show does also feature yellow characters and aliens, so we can probably let this one slide.
