Right now, Scooter lives with his owner, Gail, who tells Guinness Records that each morning, Scooter wakes her up at 6:00 a.m. So far, the morning routine has maintained as long as the two have been together.
Past holders of the title included a 26-year-old cat, named Corduroy, from Oregon. And though Scooter surpasses Corduory, he does not trump Crème Puff from Austin, Texas, a cat lived to 38 years and 3 days, according to Guinness World Records.
Guinness World Records describes Scooter's pleasures in his cat life as, "getting blow dried after a bath ...and his favorite snack is chicken – which he’s treated to every other day."
At the age of 210 in human years, Scooter surely must take some cat naps, too.
