Tidal has announced two massive firings: CFO Chris Hart and COO Nils Juell.

"TIDAL has terminated CFO Chris Hart and COO Nils Juell," the company said in a statement. "As TIDAL has grown into a global operation serving 46 countries we have moved our accounting and operations team to New York while our technology team and key support staff remain in Oslo."

Additionally, the Norwegian website Breakit alleges that Hart was let go because he disagreed with how Tidal handles reporting streams.

Tidal has its roots in WiMP, a Scandinavian streaming service launched in 2010 by Oslo-based technology company Aspiro AB. It was launched in the U.K. and U.S. under the name Tidal in October 2014. Then Jay Z bought Aspiro in March of 2015 for $56 million.

Since then, the company has seen numerous staff changes as it moves most of its operations from the company's original headquarters to New York.

This is the latest of several turnovers for the company in its first year. Shortly after the streaming service's highly-publicized launch in March, Tidal and Aspiro CEO left the company. They were replaced by interim CEO Peter Tonstad, who left just two months later.

Soundcloud alum Jeff Toig was announced as CEO -- based in New York -- in December. Chief Investment Officer Vania Schlogel, meanwhile, left the company in summer of 2015.

The news comes a day after Jay Z and Tidal were hit with a lawsuit from John Emanuele of the band The American Dollar, which alleges that the company has been either underpaying royalties or not paying them at all.

Tidal quickly denied the allegations, saying it is "up to date on all royalties" and removing the band's catalogue from the service.
