Tim Tebow wants to play Major League Baseball now, and the internet thinks it's hilarious
Tim Tebow is still doing ... stuff. And we're still writing about it.
Five years ago, we brought you the inside story of how "Tebowing" became, well, Tebowing. Since then, the former college football star has washed out as an NFL quarterback, become an ESPN analyst, accidentally sported a righteous ponytail-slash-mullet -- and now he wants to play pro baseball.
We know what you're thinking. He knows what you're thinking. His reps know what you're thinking. One of those reps even put out a statement to address what you're thinking: "This may sound like a publicity stunt, but nothing could be further from the truth."

"As an agent, I have a genuine respect for how hard it is to succeed at the game of baseball and a true admiration for those who possess the talent to play it at the Major League level," Brodie Van Wagenen, who co-runs baseball operations at Creative Artists Agency, continued in a statement sent to USA Today. "Tim's tool set is real."
Tebow reportedly plans to hold a workout later in August for Major League Baseball teams, and has been training for several months in preparation. Now 28 years old, Tebow hasn't played serious competitive baseball since his penultimate year of high school. As a junior at Nease High School in Florida, he was named All-State and hit .494, according to ESPN.com. He last played an NFL game in 2012.
