The fear of being #foreveralone is real.

Tinder appeared to be having massive technical issues Monday afternoon, and users were not able to patiently wait to keep swiping and flirting.

It's unclear what's wrong with the app and whether it's only down for some users on certain devices or based on location. We've reached out to Tinder and will pass along any updates.

Those updates may be beyond crucial for those looking for a date. As soon as the app went down, Twitter was filled with utter desperation and worries about potential love lost.

Because today was definitely the day one of your Tinder matches was going to be the one.
