An artist is making a nice piece of jewelry out of someone else's toe

Yeah, like a real toe.

A Tumblr user called cummy-eyelids is just thrilled about her upcoming art project: making a necklace out of someone else's pinky toe.

Royallyoily, another Tumblr user who had that toe amputated almost ten years ago, recently commissioned cummy-eyelids to make the piece. "Not only do I absolutely trust your artistic expertise, cummy-eyelids," she wrote, "but I also feel my body part ... could not be in more capable hands."

That's a relief. Who could wear a toe necklace made by an amateur?

But what really set the internet off was the below photo, which cummy-eyelids posted to Tumblr a few weeks ago.

"...I received a very special package in the mail," she wrote. "It contained this amputated human toe."

Ever responsible, the artist even said she'd place the toe in a new jar -- because the old jar's preservation fluid expired in 2011.

According to BuzzFeed, cummy-eyelids -- whose real name is Lana -- is used to working with skulls, bones and "wet specimens," so the toe didn't gross her out at all.

For some reason, the same cannot be said for the internet.

Ignore the haters, cummy-eyelids. We respect your vision. Anyway, next time you receive a toe in the mail, can you please make a toe ring?
