The world has come up with the worst names for Crayola's new color

How has this not ended yet?

Finally, the madness is almost over.

Since March, Crayola — yes, the art supply company that ran your childhood — has been stringing the world along on a troublesome and emotional journey to replace the Dandelion crayon — an OG member of the 24-pack box. But rest assured, the end is near.

All you have to do is vote on the new blue crayon's name from five extraordinarily cheesy and embarrassing options. Sounds GR8. Very simple.

Except they are so so bad how will you choose?

After killing off off Dandelion, the company held an elaborate ceremony announcing that in the coming weeks Crayola fans would be invited to choose the name of the new addition to the box.

The company then revealed the nameless shade of blue, and encouraged everyone to submit their most creative ideas. Clearly no one listened to our brilliant suggestions, because "Blue Ivy" is sadly not one of the five finalists.

Instead, you now have the ability to name this (^) crayon:

  1. Dreams Come Blue

  2. Star Spangled Blue

  3. Blue Moon Bliss

  4. Reach for the Stars

  5. Bluetiful

We understand these are all very bad names, but please just cast your vote from July 1 to Aug. 31 so we can end this thing. And hey, if you're lucky you might win some prizes like a Crayola Air Maker Sprayer or a paid trip for four to the Orlando Crayola Experience in Orlando, Florida.

The final name will be announced in September.
