A 51-year-old German tourist died Wednesday while attempting to pose for a photo near the edge of Machu Picchu.

The man, identified as Oliver Park, reportedly climbed over a safety barrier at the Peruvian landmark and asked another tourist to take his picture as he jumped in the air. Park then lost his balance, tumbling over 100 feet into a ravine.
