Boaty McBoatface has some competition.
Customers were delighted to see 'Trainy McTrainface' pull into their South West Train stations during Tuesday's ride throughout south and southwest England.

The joke name is a reference to "Boaty McBoatface," the recent frontrunner for the United Kingdom's Natural Environment Research Council #NameOurShip competition, which could determine the name of a new $300 million ship.
It's looking less likely that the publicly approved name will grace the independent environmental science organization vessel, but one transportation system wanted to show solidarity.

A spokesperson for the company tells Evening Standard: "It is a one-off by one of our creative guards who wanted to bring a smile to the face of our customers."
We're glad at least one form of UK transportation got the goofy name it deserves.
