Revenge is a cocktail best served cold.

A restaurant in Bristol, UK, has got revenge on a disgruntled customer who left a scathing review on TripAdvisor -- by naming a cocktail in his honour.

The harsh critic of The Old Butcher's in Bristol, posted a review on 31 July under the guise of "Wayne S".

His first remark was focused on the bar's choice of glassware, which he found to be somewhat pretentious. Wayne wrote that the bar served its beers in "poncey" two-third pint glasses; much to his dislike. "What's wrong with pints ffs??" opined Wayne.

"The owner struts about in dungarees, and if he has the chance to check his reflection he damn well makes sure he does," writes Wayne.

"Would I eat there? Never, only had crab on the menu anyway!?" Wayne adds.

"Would I drink there again? Never. Would I recommend it? Only to those who want to be soooo hip (like the owner thinks he is) that they want to watch the traffic go by in this rather grey and drab area of town," he continues.

Thankfully, the bar took Wayne's words on the chin, and came back with a witty retort.

"Wayne's inspiring words have won him a place on our menu; congratulations Wayne! We are therefore proud to introduce our new cocktail, for a limited time only, "The Ponce's Dungarees"!" read a post on The Old's Butcher's Facebook page.

Customers have been uploading photos of themselves drinking the cocktail in "solidarity" with the restaurant.

A spokesperson for The Old Butcher's says they've been "totally blown away by the initial response." Wayne has since removed his review from the TripAdvisor site, and it's unclear whether he'll be returning to the bar anytime soon to sample the cocktail named in his honour.

"We hope to see you soon in our grey and drab area of town," the post continues.
