Trump snubs Nancy Pelosi's handshake offer at the State of the Union
President Donald Trump snubbed a handshake offer from Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who extended her hand to the commander-in-chief as he prepared to deliver his State of the Union address on Tuesday.
Trump ignored Pelosi's extended hand — either that or he really went out of his way to not see it — and instead turned back toward the lectern. Pelosi appeared to shrug her shoulders at the snub and mouth the word, "Oh."

Trump did not shake Vice President Mike Pence's hand either, though Pence did not extend his hand like Pelosi when Trump gave them each a copy of his speech.
It shouldn't be much of a surprise that there's tension between Trump and Pelosi. The speaker launched the impeachment process that is set to soon conclude, with senators expected to take a final vote on Wednesday.
The two leaders reportedly haven't spoken since an October meeting where Trump called Pelosi a "third-grade politician." Pelosi, in turn, said Trump had a meltdown.
Predictably, Trump touted his performance as president to kick off his address.
"In just three short years we have shattered the mentality of American decline," he said.
