Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said the "system is rigged" after FBI Director James Comey recommended no charges for rival presumptive presidential candidate Hillary Clinton following an investigation into Clinton's use of email while she was secretary of state.

Comey said the agency found no evidence Clinton or her staffers had intentionally violated the law, though he said the department was "careless" in how it handled email that contained classified and even top secret information.

Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who heads the Department of Justice, has said she will follow the FBI's recommendation. The specter of a possible indictment has haunted Clinton through the Democratic primary campaign, and is an issue frequently brought up by opponents.
