The debate over the Trump administration's immigration policy is still simmering, and the blowback continues to hit Trump -- this time in the form of yet another Time magazine cover.

The new cover combines a photo of the president with the now-iconic image taken by Getty Images' John Moore of a little girl sobbing while her mother is searched by border agents, something of a symbol of the pushback against the separation of children from their families at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Driving home the point: the image of Trump they chose for the face-off is one that seems to display the callous indifference that he and his supporters have shown thus far in the debate.

Likewise, the cover story, "A Reckoning After Trump's Border Separation Policy: What Kind of Country Are We?" by Karl Vick, doesn't mince words about what it sees as the eroding of our traditional norms and values by the current president.

In the 18 months since his Inauguration, Trump has mentioned “democracy” fewer than 100 times, “equality” only 12 times and “human rights” just 10 times.

Even though Trump has now signed an executive order that should, for the time being, prevent such separations, there are still serious issues that remain, including reuniting families already separated by the heinous policy as well as what the Trump administration's long game is.

Still, we know how much Trump loves his Time covers and this one is certainly worthy of our current president.
