Move over, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Tucker Carlson has a new wildly unhealthy obsession with a politician, and that's Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

On Tucker Carlson Tonight on Tuesday, Carlson accused Democrats of loving the candidate too much, especially after one fan compared Buttigieg to "chicken soup for the soul."

"'Chicken soup for my soul?’ Even by the naughty standards of the news media this is a new level of political commitment," Carlson said. "They don’t just want to vote for this guy. They want to consume him like a hearty stew, every last drop of Buttigieg ... Yum. They're all in."

Carlson had earlier accused the media of leaving Beto O'Rourke for a "younger, hotter candidate," which is exactly the kind of thing I used to say after a lesbian break-up.

But Carlson's monologue raises several critical questions, chief among them is: Who loves stew that much?

Maybe I'm alienated from stew because I cooked so many of them this winter for my office lunches. Even then, I don't exactly see stew as a binge-able food.

Who looks at a can of Progresso and thinks: "I want to inhale these dehydrated potato chunks, babyyyyyyyy."

Twitter felt similarly confused.

For what it's worth, Mayor Pete isn't a stew. He's a soup, goddamnit. A thin, brothy, wholesome, delicate soup. Something you might order with a half salad at Panera.

Get your facts straight, Fox.
