People are blacking out their Twitter profiles to protest a Trump presidency
In the aftermath of an election that selected Donald Trump as President-elect of the United States, people on Twitter have staged a "black out" in protest.
The hashtag #TwitterBlackOut is trending as much of the internet struggles to grapple with the results of Tuesday night's election.
In a small act of protest against a result that could have very real ramifications for women, minorities and the LGBTQ community, Twitter users are blacking out profile photos and header photos.
