Leave it to the internet to troll the supermoon

A lot of people had some out of reach expectations.

November's supermoon is more than just a stunningly beautiful natural occurrence -- it's also great source material for Twitter jokes.

Last night and tonight's supermoon, the biggest and brightest to rise in nearly 70 years, won't come this close to Earth again until the year 2034. So, everyone on social media had to get their jokes in, while there was still time.

Nothing is exempt from social media satire, and users around the world are taking their best shots at trolling the literal moon.
