LONDON -- Now this is how you motivate your employees.

In the run-up to Game of Thrones Season 6, bosses at creative technology firm +rehabstudios came up with a truly genius perk -- allowing their UK employees a half day to catch up on the season premier.

Founding partner Tim Rodgers told Mashable the reaction has been "amazing."

"We have some huge fans in the office," he said. "What we loved is that this story has spiralled from a post that one of our team put on LinkedIn, and suddenly she had thousands of likes and Twitter went crazy.

"That said, some of the team have asked if the perk is transferable to similar shows like The Walking Dead, and that's fine with us too."

Rodgers explained that they wanted to add in an extra perk when they were updating their handbook. "This year it's GoT, next year it could be something completely different and the team are welcome to give us suggestions," he said.

"Our company started in Belfast where the show is filmed so there's always been a link there -- we had a GoT themed Xmas party last year and both the U.S. and UK teams love the show."

Here's hoping other companies follow their lead.
