Umpire takes a pitch to the groin and we feel his pain from here

Yikes.

To be one of the people standing on the receiving end of 90 miles per hour fastballs is to be in constant danger.

If one of those baseballs were to hit any part of your body, the pain would be absolutely terrible. Baseball players who have been hit describe pain so intense that it caused them to black out. Some have had kneecaps broken after a ball made impact with their knee.

All of this information is to help put into context what MLB umpire Mike Muchlinski must have felt after getting drilled right in the groin during Thursday's game between the Oakland Athletics and the Minnesota Twins.

Poor Muchlinski drops straight to the ground, but he did stay in the game.

We hope you have a speedy recovery, buddy.
