It's official: Venmo is coming out of your smartphone and into your wallet.

On Monday, the mobile payments app announced the limited release of an actual, physical debit card that users can swipe IRL to pay directly from their Venmo balance. Because the card is linked to their accounts, Venmo debit card owners will still be able to monitor transactions and split charges with friends through the app.

The Venmo debit card can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted, as well as at ATMs to withdraw cash. But though purchases at brick-and-mortar establishments won't have any extra fees, cash withdrawals will cost users $2.50.

Potential cardholders will be able to choose from six colors: white, yellow, pink, black, green, and blue.

The announcement follows almost a year of reported tests on a physical debit card that Venmo users could swipe to make purchases in brick-and-mortar locations. In May, PayPal COO Bill Ready confirmed the debit card as a forthcoming payment option for Venmo users. PayPal acquired the mobile payments service in 2012.

If you have a Venmo account and you're ready to make space in your wallet for more plastic, you can get in line here to apply for a limited release of the card.
