Mexican ex-president Vicente Fox has been an outspoken critic of presumed GOP nominee Donald Trump since the earliest days of his campaign.

Fox has regularly fired back against Trump for his proposed wall along the U.S.-Mexican border and other disparaging remarks Trump has made about Mexicans.

In February, Fox made headlines for proclaiming Mexico would not pay for "that fucking wall," which is what Trump has proposed.

Now he is apologizing to Trump, but with one big caveat: He thinks Trump should apologize to Mexico.

Speaking with Brietbart News last week, and with several other broadcasters, Fox said he was sorry for the vulgarities and for offending Trump. Trump told a campaign rally that he accepted the apology.

But Fox thinks it's now the Donald's turn to say sorry.

In a series of videos posted to his Twitter account on Monday, Fox asked Trump to apologize to Mexico and American workers.

"Hi Donald, so you accept my apologies?" says a straight-faced Fox in a clip that shows him riding in a car. "What about your apologies — to Mexico, to Mexicans in the United States, to Mexicans in Mexico."

In a second video, Fox highlighted another group that he feels Trump has slighted.

"And now you owe another apology, to all U.S. workers, American workers, for the many jobs you're taking away from them through your imports from China and from Mexico of apparel, ties, shirts, underwear etcetera. Please apologize to them."

The videos come after Fox called Trump an “ugly American,” in yet another interview on the Kickass Politics podcast, and posed for a photo with the host in which he gives Trump the middle finger.

“He is the hated gringo because he’s attacking all of us. He’s offending all of us,” said Fox.

The interview is set to air Tuesday.

Fox has been a strong voice against Trump's plans to erect a border wall running the length of the southern U.S. border with Mexico, and in February made his stance clear with a series of media spots.

"I have to say, we're not, I am not going to pay for that fucking wall. I am not," Fox told Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo back in February.
