A Long Island winery has been cut off after one too many incidents.

Vineyard 48 in Cutchogue, New York, on Long Island's North Fork was known as a bachelorette and party spot where you could get a $58 bucket of sangria.

But for the state liquor authority, it became known known as a place where drinking in excess led to huge fights and even one complaint from neighbors of “two patrons engaging in sexual acts in view of their backyard," according to Newsday. Neighbors also complained that their properties were used as toilets because the winery's facilities were overcrowded and overused.

So earlier this month the license was suspended. The liquor authority said one incident involved a fight of 400 people. From May 28 to Sept. 28, officers responded to the winery 10 times, Newsday reported.

This week the owners canceled the license and are closing permanently.

Some of the the winery's Yelp reviews include these gems from different ends of the spectrum:

"But, on the real, this place is reallyyyy fun- especially if you're looking for that fun, ridiculous, dance-y, vibe. The wine isn't great. The bartenders are rude. It's often crowded. The food is mediocre. If you're not on a wine tour then it's $10 to get in and you get 4 tastings. But, this place has the reputation of being the party vineyard for a reason, and they live up to that reputation really well," a four-star reviewer said.

A one-star review from September succinctly said, "Wow, worst winery I have been to in my entire life! Tasting served in plastic cups. Backed up bathrooms. No, thank you!!!! Ugh!"

Despite it's bad reputation, many were sad to see it go.

Long Island winery hopping won't ever be the same.
