Everything we know about what's next for 'The Walking Dead' and 'Fear the Walking Dead'

Two hours of zombie talk greeted fans at Comic-Con Friday afternoon when The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead held back to back panels spilling secrets -- but not THAT Negan secret -- about their respective new seasons.

"We’re not going to speak about it," star Andrew Lincoln explained early on in the chat about totally dodging the "Who does Negan kill?" Walking Dead question. "It’s a really shitty start to the season but hang in there -- we’re heading toward the greatest showdown since Terminus."

That certainly got the giant Hall H crowd pumped.

New trailer for 'Fear the Walking Dead'

First up was Fear the Walking Dead, which showed fans a new trailer that puts to rest any hope that Nick (Frank Dillane) joined up with his family in the last seconds when the show left off. Instead, he's on his own wandering through Mexico (we see a sign that says "Tijuana - 100 miles") and it's clear things are not going all that great.

New character: Luciana

There will be a new character on Fear this season: Luciana (Danay Garcia). In the trailer footage, she is seen meeting up with Nick, and during the panel she teased, "[Nick] arrives outside Tijuana...[my group] doesn't have the same belief system as Celia, but they do see the dead as the next step, not a bad thing. The two of them [Nick and Luciana] form a bond."

Travis 2.0

Many fans were surprised in the Fear finale when Travis (Cliff Curtis) leaves Madison (Kim Dickens) to go be with his spiraling son, Christopher (Lorenzo James Henrie). But don't underestimate the new version of Travis fans are going to see this season. "Travis is very attached to his idea of honor," Curtis shared. "I think we're going to see some things that shock our audience [of] what he's capable of. He's a badass dad."

Madison's change

Kim Dickens opened up about how her character has changed in the wake of locking Celia in with the dead. "When I read the script it shocked me that that happened," she shared. "It felt like something overcame her." Expect more moments like this when Fear returns.

Who is Negan's victim?

When it came time for Walking Dead, of course the big question for everyone was who the @8$% is Negan's victim? The panel got potential teases out of the way at the start, with the showrunners noting they weren't going to talk about it at all to preserve the mystery come Oct. 23, when Walking Dead will return for eight episodes, followed by eight more installments in 2017.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan has 'too much fun'

But clearly no one told that to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who entered the panel with a bat while reciting Negan's already-infamous monologue that closed out the season. "Can I just point out, he’s having way too much fun," Lincoln cracked. Morgan noted that the fan response to him walking around on the street since the episode aired has been like nothing he's ever experienced before.

Cheers for King Ezekiel

Comic book fans were psyched to see the first trailer footage of Season 7. Viewers got their first glimpse of The Kingdom -- the place from which the armored men who meet up with Carol and Morgan are from, as well as new character King Ezekiel, who inspired huge cheers from the crowd during his brief trailer appearance.

'BS' during the apocalypse

Another buzzy moment from the panel came thanks to a fan question about the reaction to Rick and Michonne's new relationship. In response to wondering if there had been backlash to their relationship, Walking Dead writer Scott Gimple shared, in part, "I wasn’t aware it would have the impact it did. I think one of the things we fantasize about in the apocalypse is the bs falls away. Everyone is judged by who they are."

'Worth the wait'

The crew may not have teased specifics, but they were down to talk Season 7 up. "It’s absolutely worth the wait," Robert Kirkman promised. "It's a fantastic premiere to a fantastic season. You guys are going to love it."

Bromance

This isn't a spoiler about the show, but the true highlight of the panel was the ongoing bromance between Lincoln and Norman Reedus. After Reedus recounted his prank stuffing glitter in the AC of Lincoln's car (evidence), Lincoln had his revenge, blowing a bunch of glitter he had hidden away in his hand during the panel in Reedus' face....except a majority of it got stuck in Lincoln's beard.

Good thing this wasn't the duo's strategy to get away from The Saviors.
