'The Walking Dead' is coming to life at Universal Studios this summer

If every time you watch The Walking Dead, you think, "Wow, that sure looks like a great vacation," you're in luck.

Universal Studios Hollywood has announced that a new attraction based on the popular zombie show is opening this summer. (A specific opening date has not yet been announced.)

"Prepare to fight for survival in a fully immersive journey as you navigate through a world overrun by hungry walkers," Universal Studios Hollywood said, describing the ride

The Walking Dead attraction looks more appropriate for Halloween than any other time of year, but adrenaline junkies won't have to wait for October for a thrill.

The year-round attraction will let visitors "follow in the footsteps of the human survivors" as they battle their way "through nightmarish iconic landscapes that bring the most popular cable TV show in history to life."
