The (awards) show apparently must go on.

Somehow, even during a global pandemic, the Emmys are happening on Sunday night. The awardsshow celebrating the best in television is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. ET.

But don't worry, it won't be violating any social distancing guidelines. The event, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will primarily be a virtual offering. The show will be televised on ABC but if you want you watch online, you have a few options.

You can watch on ABC's website or mobile app. There's also Locast, which lets you stream broadcast networks, for free, in a number of areas in the U.S. If you use services like YouTube TV or Hulu's live TV offering, you can also stream ABC's broadcast from there.

It'll likely take a heck of an effort to pull off the remote Emmy Awards that will still be mostly live. About 90 percent of the show is happening in real time, with cameras set up in 130 separate locations across the globe, according to Deadline.

There have already been some awards distributed and minor hiccups in the lead-up to the big night. As always, a number of "technical award" Emmys were awarded to streamline things on the big night. Actor Ron Cephas Jones won a statue for the Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series, for his role in This Is Us. But the broadcast's announcer named The Outsider actor Jason Bateman as the winner.

HBO's Watchmen leads the way with 26 nominations heading into 2020's show, and it seems like a front-runner to win the Best Limited Series award, at least. The internet's favorite comedy, Schitt's Creek, also picked up 15 nominations. The drama category, meanwhile, is also loaded, including shows like Better Call Saul, Ozark, The Mandalorian, and Succession.

Tune in to watch the 2020 Emmy Awards starting at 8:00 p.m. ET using any of the options listed above.
