People in Iceland are being left off the weather map and they're pissed
People in East Iceland have found something unexpected blocking their view of their nightly weather report: the presenter himself.
Residents on one side of the country have found their local region occluded by the oblivious man on the RUV channel, who's spent night after night standing in front of their homes on TV.
The locals are so angry, they've taken to Facebook to vent their fury and share their displeasure with likeminded souls in a group reportedly entitled: "Stop standing in front of East Iceland, dear weather forecasters."
“This is maybe a bit of pointless whinging and we can of course see the weather elsewhere,” one viewer told local site Austurfrétt (translated by Iceland Monitor).
“But since this is on TV, I think is just common courtesy to be able to see major information such as the temperature and wind in our region.”
Others saw the funny side. "Scattered white shirt and a suit in the east tomorrow," one commented, according to reports.
The broadcaster has apparently taken heed of the angry group and positioned the weather man on the left hand side of the screen for now.
