It is a truth universally acknowledged that any event can be improved with a litter of puppies. Weddings are no exception.

Pennsylvania woman Sarah Mallouk Crain, who works at Pitties Love Peace, a nonprofit dedicated to home placement and advocacy for pit bulls, is well aware of this — so she replaced the flowers at her wedding with adoptable pups.

This delighted Crain's wedding photographer, Caroline Logan. "Who doesn't love a litter of sweet rescue pups?" she told Mashable. "I was extra excited for Matt and Sarah's day to arrive."

And the puppies did not disappoint, providing a floppier, fluffier and more adorable bridal accoutrement than any bouquet could.

According to Logan, they also calmed nerves and made the photos look more natural. "While photographing six rambunctious puppies definitely brought an added challenge, it also caused the bridal party to be more at ease," she told Mashable.

"Having something to divert attention from that uncomfortable 'Oh my goodness, I'm getting my picture taken... what do I do with my hands?!' feeling to pure puppy bliss made for relaxed photos," she added.

The groomsmen even got in on the fun. Everyone loves dogs. Dogs are good.

Don't worry, it gets better: not only are all the pups pictured all siblings, they're also named after the first First Ladies of the United States: Martha, Abigail, Dolly, Elizabeth and Louisa. And they're all adoptable — although we imagine that due to their newfound fame, they won't be available for long.

In the meantime, Logan is just glad that the internet is responding well to her photos. "It is surreal and so rewarding to see people connecting with the photos as much as they are!" she said.

Puppies have a way of inspiring that.
