Stuff Your Kindle Day is a favorite among e-reader users. Hundreds of e-books are majorly discounted, with many reads going for absolutely nothing. The e-book event began in 2014 on the Romance Bookworms platform, but has spun out into dozens of events that take place throughout the year. That means even if you missed the last Stuff Your Kindle Day, there's probably not long to wait until the next one goes live.

And while Kindle is in the name, it's not just for Kindle users. So here's everything you need to know about the next Stuff Your Kindle Day.

What is Stuff Your Kindle Day?

Stuff Your Kindle Day was started in 2014 by author Zoe York. It was run through York's platform Romance Bookworms, which still runs an annual event in July. However, plenty of other groups have started their own Stuff Your Kindle-style events. These events are typically author-driven and feature indepedent, genre titles like romantasy, sci-fi, and cozy mystery.

When is Stuff Your Kindle Day?

So when is the next Stuff Your Kindle Day? We've spotted events at least once a month through 2026:

Do you need a Kindle or e-reader to participate?

Like Band-Aid, Kleenex, or Roomba, the name Kindle has become synonymous with e-readers. So while Kindle is in the name of Stuff Your Kindle Day, you can shop these events regardless of which e-reader you own. And actually, you don't need to own an e-reader at all, and with the Kindle app, Apple Books, and Google Play platforms, you can read books on your computer, tablet, or smartphone.

That being said, if you are looking for an e-reader, the Kindle Paperwhite is our favorite Kindle and overall e-reader.
