Where is the first lady?

That's the slightly concerning question the American people have been asking since the first lady was last spotted in the public eye on May 10. Though Melania reportedly underwent a "successful" kidney procedure on May 14 and needed some time to recover, she hasn't been seen in more than 20 days, which is bizarre as hell.

As The Hill reported on Sunday, after weeks in a very confusing state of hiding, the first lady is scheduled to attend Monday's Gold Star Families Memorial Day Reception with the president. Only one problem... it's closed to the press.

Is tonight the night we finally see Melania? Only time will tell — but until then let's examine what we know about her mysterious disappearance.

May 10

Melania Trump is seen in public for the last time in May. She stood alongside her husband at Joint Base Andrews as they welcomed home three Americans who had been released from captivity in North Korea.

May 14

Melania undergoes a "successful" kidney procedure at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. According to a statement from The White House, Melania was expected to remain in the hospital recovering for the remainder of the week.

May 16

Melania herself tweets to let everyone know she's "feeling great" and can't wait to return to the White House. (Though keep in mind, we have no way of knowing who actually wrote this tweet.)

May 20

Donald Trump welcomes Melania home via tweet, except he initially called her "Melanie," which did not help the confusing situation.

May 25

Uh, yeah. People really started to notice the first lady was straight up M.I.A. towards the end of May. Media outlets began to speculate, Twitter users began sharing their conspiracy theories — ranging from Melania recovering from secret plastic surgery to the first lady having escaped the White House all together.

ALSO May 25

Trump makes things worse by saying "She's doing great... right there!" when asked about Melania. The president appeared to be pointing to a White House window, explaining, "she's looking at us right there." (Note: Despite the pointing no one saw any sign of Melania near the window.)

May 26 - May 30

The world continues to wonder where the heck Melania is... Can we just get some proof she's alive?

May 30

With rising concern, Melania decided to tweet on May 30 in an apparent attempt to ease the minds of Americans.

"I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I'm doing," she wrote. "Rest assured, I'm here at the White House with my family, feeling great..."

Hmmmmmm... looks a lot like something Donald would tweet.

June 1

Melania decides not to accompany the president on a weekend retreat at Camp David. Not at all suspicious...

June 3

News breaks that Melania will skip the annual G7 Summit, and now even Bette Midler is worried.

June 4

The world waits to see if Melania does, in fact, show her face at the event honoring Gold Star families. However, since the event is conveniently CLOSED to the press, will any of us really know if she attends.

The plot is now thicker than Donald Trump's hair.
