Reince Priebus will go down as the shortest-serving White House chief of staff in the history of the United States.

President Donald Trump announced Priebus was out of the job on Friday evening, and that Trump had replaced him with Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly.

The president heralded the end of Priebus's term with a few tweets sent from Air Force One, after Priebus had already disembarked the plane.

As is the custom now, Twitter went into its usual post-bombshell convulsions.

Staff at the White House evidently found out about their new boss via Trump's tweets.

Priebus, however, reportedly knew beforehand.
