'Will & Grace' finally has the epic GIF collection it deserves, just in time for the revival
A picture may be worth a thousand words, but Will & Grace fans know that these faces are priceless, honey.
Back when Will & Grace was first on the air, Twitter and Facebook didn't exist, and GIFs were generally reserved for your slow-loading Geocities shrine to Star Trek Voyager.
In hindsight, the NBC comedy was probably one of the most social-friendly shows on TV (heck, Karen and Jack were basically walking memes); it just happened to be a decade ahead of its time.
Thankfully, NBC has revived the series right when we need it most, and to make up for lost time, Mashable can exclusively reveal that the network has partnered with Tenor to create an official Will & Grace GIF collection, so that we can properly express our joy that the show is back.
The Will & Grace collection has a dedicated Creator page on Tenor, where fans can access vintage and (once it returns) brand new GIFs from the original series and the revival. The shareable images are available for download; through the Tenor GIF Keyboard app for iOS and Android; on www.tenor.com; and through countless partners including Apple iMessage, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Twitter, LinkedIn and more.
Jared Goldsmith, NBC’s SVP of Marketing & Digital Strategy, explains why the timing is perfect for the new collection: “Will & Grace is arguably the most GIF-able show in television. When it first aired, it wasn’t possible to instantly share a short video of Jack or Karen to nail that perfect reaction. Today everything has changed and we are excited to partner with Tenor and their Creator Pages to help us connect with fans seeking to express themselves through GIFs and offer a way to share Will & Grace moments in their daily lives."
