A woman and her small dog were rescued from her sinking vehicle in Baton Rogue, Louisiana, just seconds before it was submerged in water on Saturday.

In the clip, a rescue boat can be seen approaching and then attempting to break the window of a partially submerged vehicle as it slowly slips deeper into the water.

"Oh my god I'm drowning," a woman says from inside the vehicle.

"Get my dog!" the woman yells as she emerges from the water.

"I can't get the dog," Phung responds before diving into the water.

Just as another man off camera attempts to tell the woman her dog may be dead, Phung returns and announces that he has found the woman's pup.

Unfortunately, not all people affected by the flooding were so lucky. At least three deaths have been reported since catastrophic rainfall hit the state of Louisiana on Friday and caused major flooding throughout the weekend.
