Classic mom mistakes purse for little sleeping dachshund pup

It's not unusual to see dogs accompanying their owners while dining outdoors. Sometimes they'll just curl up under the table waiting for some scraps to fall.

But you know what won't eat your leftovers? A purse -- no matter how much it looks like a dog.

Twitter user Hannah Murphy's mom giggled at what she thought was a sleeping dachshund under someone's chair at a restaurant. Only, it wasn't quite a dachshund, but something a little less...alive.
