Gal Gadot treats social media to a fresh look at her 'Wonder Woman' costume
"She's back... 🙅🏻♀️ #WW84"
Wonder Woman continues to be the lone bright spot in the flailing DC Extended Universe. With the sequel's Nov. 2019 release barreling ever-closer, Gal Gadot took to social media on Saturday morning with a fresh look at her Wonder Woman 2 costume.
Or is it? There don't appear to be any differences between the superhero duds Gadot wore in Wonder Woman and the outfit she's wearing in this new photo share. See for yourself.
It's become something of a trope for superhero movies to introduce costume revisions with each sequel released. Will Wonder Woman 2 buck that trend? Or is this just Gadot engaging in some effective hype-building, with a side of light misdirection?
We know the Wonder Woman sequel jumps ahead in time, leaving behind the first movie's World War I setting in favor of a 1980s adventure. In the new movie, Gadot's Diana Prince will face off against the classic Wonder Woman villain Cheetah, played by Kristen Wiig.
Also, Chris Pine's Steve Trevor is back. Somehow?
Wonder Woman 2 -- the official title has yet to be revealed -- was originally set to hit theaters in Dec. 2019, but Warner Bros. altered its plans late last year, moving the movie's release up by six weeks. The sequel will now hit theaters on Nov. 1, 2019.
