DC's Geoff Johns drops big hint about 'Wonder Woman 2'
DC's Geoff Johns may have dropped a serious hint about the Wonder Woman sequel – namely, the year it takes place.
Johns, DC Entertainment President and Chief Creative Officer, shared a teaser on Facebook Friday morning that simply read "WW84," which might point to seeing our hero in 1984.
Johns uploaded the image as his cover photo, where it slid largely under the radar until The Hollywood Reporter sniffed it out. Presumably, the teaser means Wonder Woman 2 will jump ahead to 1984.
We knew the sequel would move forward in time, leaving 1917 (and Steve Trevor) in the dust, but having an exact year narrows this down immensely. By 1984, Diana could run into a young Bruce Wayne or Clark Kent – or almost anyone else in the DCEU, hero or villain. She could also wear a lot of pastels.
Wonder Woman 2 will release Nov. 1, 2019.
